Introducing new, personalized cash back offers

At Petal, we strive to help our members build credit responsibly and succeed financially. Those goals matter even more this year, as rising prices make life more expensive for everyone.

Today, we’re announcing an expanded cash back program designed to give Petal members more ways to save, whether they’re dining out with friends or shopping for groceries, gas, or clothing. This program is powered by Cardlytics, a digital advertising platform that provides cash back rewards to consumers.

Now, Petal members can earn between 2% and 10% cash back, and more, when they pay with their Petal 1 or Petal 2 card at select merchants, curated from more than 10,000 local businesses and top national brands across 20,000 locations.

Petal’s new cash back rewards are simple and seamless. Petal members are automatically enrolled, so there’s no need to opt-in to an offer. When members make a purchase at an eligible merchant, their earned cash back will be deposited directly into their cash back wallet. Members can later request to redeem their cash back for a statement credit or —if the redemption amount is more than $20— request a check.

These cash back rewards are also personalized. Offers are based on each member’s spending history, location, and other factors, with a focus on delivering rewards that are personally and locally relevant. Petal members can find personalized cash back offers on the Perks screen of their mobile app or Petal account.

To celebrate the launch, all Petal members will have access to special, limited-time offers from the following national retailers until July 3, 2022*: 

• adidas: 6% cash back for online purchases
• Charlotte Tilbury: 5% cash back for online purchases
• Costco: $20 cash back for Executive and Gold Star memberships purchased in-store at participating locations or online
• Shake Shack: 5% cash back for online purchases and in-store purchases at participating locations – and 15% for purchases over $30
• TOMS: 5% cash back for online purchases

Our goal is to help Petal members make the most of their money by providing cash back at more of the places where they shop. Now, whether our members are looking for something to eat, something to wear, or something for their home, they’ll have more chances to put money back in their pockets when they #PaywithPetal.
